THE ASK
My Mema always says there are three people you want to keep happy: your spouse, your nail technician, and your hairstylist. Aside from Lyndsay of LenZe Hair Lounge being an incredible individual, we were more than happy to create a new logo to promote her salon.
Lyndsay’s community lacks a salon space for alternative-style individuals and members of the LGBTQIA community. Her salon is at the heart of a more rural area, and she wanted a logo that clearly says, “Come on in, weirdos, and make yourself at home.” As one of her beloved “weirdo” clients, I already had a great feel for her overall aesthetic.
THE how
I knew from the get-go that LenZe’s logo needed to be something that immediately told the viewer what kind of audience she primarily worked with. Looking at Lyndsay’s tapestry of tattoos and her love for alternative style, I got to work looking into tattoo parlors, alternative brands, and other spaces which her target audience was attracted to.
After immediately falling in love the tattoo-style illustrative logo, we utilized her recent claim to TikTok fame (if you have seen the video with the heat-sensitive color-changing hair that has millions of views, that’s Lyndsay of LenZe Hair Lounge!), we decided to style her logo in a style she commonly sports to ensure viewers immediately saw the connection.
THE RESULTS
To date, LenZe Hair Lounge proudly displays its “weirdo” logo and has built a long list of clients who have found a safe space within her salon. Funny story: a graphic designer friend of mine went to Lyndsay to get her hair done simply because she loved the logo. She didn’t even realize we had created it! It’s a funny little world inside a funny little hair salon.

Final Design
After falling in love with the tattoo-style illustrative logo, we leveraged her recent TikTok fame—if you’ve seen the viral video with heat-sensitive color-changing hair, that’s Lyndsay of LenZe Hair Lounge! We designed the logo in a style that Lyndsay commonly sports, ensuring viewers would immediately recognize the connection.
Additionally, check out the tiny Easter egg in the skull’s eye—it features Lyndsay’s name tattooed within the logo! Is it functional? No. Is it fun? Absolutely!
What stood out the most was Sophie’s dedication to capturing the unique character of my brand. She didn’t just create a logo; she crafted a visual identity that speaks to who I am and what my business represents. Her creativity and passion are evident in every stroke of the design.
