Optus needed a direct mail campaign targeting heads of IT at multisite national corporations, encouraging them to use Optus for all their IT needs. Despite the aggressive phrasing, Optus’ value proposition is to offer IT departments a single point of contact for all necessary IT services, simplifying management and accountability. With a minimal budget for this project, cost efficiency was a top priority.

In addition to the limited budget, the in-house marketing team was tasked with creating a direct mail campaign that could be easily shared among a small team. We also received feedback that food items are often well-received by these potential clients, as they can bypass many no-gifting policies at corporations. With Valentine’s Day approaching, we developed some cheeky, eye-catching copy to make the campaign more engaging.

This campaign has become a company favorite, now running successfully for two consecutive years. Optus reported that it sparked numerous conversations for their sales team and nearly closed several sales and contracts.

Furthermore, it won the Best of Show award at the Arkansas American Advertising Awards 2023.
