The 1997 Society

THE ASK

Shepherd’s Hope is the largest free medical clinic in Florida, providing free healthcare for the uninsured. Their primary, acute, and specialty care services are delivered by licensed medical and patient service volunteers. Since 1997, they have provided over 310,000 free patient visits and medical services.

Being approached by such an incredible non-profit was an absolute honor. It was a pleasant reminder of how our work as marketers can help highlight amazing charities and non-profits.

Shepherd’s Hope needed a logo for their newest sponsorship program, the 1997 Society. This program was created to honor an elite group of donors who have significantly helped Shepherd’s Hope expand their services across Florida.

THE how

The client provided a couple of guidelines for this project, emphasizing the incorporation of elements from their primary logo (pictured below). One key application for this logo will be on enamel buttons, which will be given to all members of the 1997 Society. The client wants the logo to convey a sense of prestige and exclusivity. To achieve this, we began researching the branding strategies of similar charitable sponsorship programs.

THE RESULTS

We feel like we hit the jackpot on this one. The board of directors voted on one of the proposed logos and thought it was perfect—no edits needed. We joke that we don’t buy lottery tickets anymore because we used up all our luck on this project. But honestly, working with a group like Shepherd’s Hope made it totally worth it.

One of the most important aspects of this project was incorporating elements from the original logo they provided. I used the colors, shepherd’s hook, and cross in the new designs to reimagine their legacy logo.

Final Logo

Shepherd’s Hope was exceptionally pleased with the minimalist logo that incorporated the shepherd’s hook. According to our client, the board was thrilled and mentioned that they will call on us for their next project!
